RE: Resume critiqueposted in Self Promotion
@IRJ said in Resume critique:
Bad resume skills look like this:
- Customer Service Oriented
- Microsoft Windows XP, 7, 8.1, 10
- System and Network Troubleshooting
- Network Configuration
- Red Hat Linux, Ubuntu, and Fedora
- Active Directory
- Server Migrations
- VPN
- Cisco Switches
Good Resume Skills would look like this:
- Proficient in Active Directory - Experienced with AD upgrades, migrations, client deployments and domain trusts
- Strong in Linux Administration - Deployments, upgrades, scripting, and management of all common distributions (RHEL , Fedora, Ubuntu, and others)
- Secure Network Implementation - Managed deployments and configuration for routers , switches, VPN devices, all types of firewalls, and more. (Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper)
I love this format. Going to apply it to my soon-to-be-updated resume. Thanks.

Simply put: hiring the best means living with the requirements of the best. Filters don't apply to companies hiring the best.

Iām hoping my next gig can be remote or have remote component. Iām not holding my breath though.
Same here. I need to finish my resume first though (sounding like a broken record). Have you started looking?

@dbeato said in Synology pushing to Backblaze B2 at 50mbps:
@JaredBusch I am not sure how you have been doing with this, but basically what I have found is that after a couple months the key with B2 does not work any longer and we need to add it again so we are constantly monitoring it. If you get into that issue maybe you can see something I did not see.
Around 6pm today stuff stopped moving.

I was stupid and dind't screenshot the Synology before rebooting, but is just said "Connecting"
It is currently rebooting.
Did the Synology stop responding on the network at this point or did the transfer just stop?

This should be fine. I have a similar configuration with restore points and it works as designed.

I am sure you have already done this, but there are no updates to either the app or Synology OS, right?

I'm doing video conferencing stuff this week, too!
What are you deploying? I am leaning toward the higher end logitech stuff to integrate with SFB/Teams and Slack. If I do that, I will most likely pull the trigger on the Barco CSE-200+ for wireless presentation- something we haven't had before. We have just had a direct HDMI cable to a large monitor.

I can't find any references to OpenVPN using 943/TCP. You sure that that isn't a custom setting somewhere?

It must just be access server.

We have one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-ConferenceCam-CC3000e-Conferencing-Speakerphone/dp/B00I0F78DO
Works great, PTZ camera, good audio, works on various collaboration platforms.
Thanks. How big is the room you are using it in?
About 30' x 14'. Long and skinny, but we mostly use the front half.
Thanks. That sounds similar to the space I am dealing with.

@scottalanmiller The other port is TCP 943. They allow for UDP or TCP connection. UDP 1194 is default. At least, on Access Server.

That's what I'm seeing also .
So to ask, did you just now start looking at the event viewer?
I checked it after @scotth said something about it.
and have been looking through it .Okay, so that's fine, now it's time to schedule a site visit since you now have proof that reloading this box is the recommended approach.
Which means a site visit. Stop milking the customer for remote hours.
I understand that the fix would be reloading the device, I told my boss that my suggestion.
Hopefully that's the fix, and not some crazy network level issue.
im fed up.. I mean I am truly over it.
I hate Windows sharing, it's very hard to track down root causes.
Especially, when it is peer-to-peer.

HighFive looks awesome but it is quite expensive. It is a complete solution of various tiers with a monthly subscription per room.

RE: Office 365 User Quarantine - How Do You Access After Redesign?posted in IT Discussion
@dbeato said in Office 365 User Quarantine - How Do You Access After Redesign?:
@wrx7m I have not found a way to do so, you can create a folder in Outlook to manage it from there. Example here
http://www.expta.com/2015/02/how-to-add-access-to-office-365-eop.htmlHave you done this? The link that includes admin seems like it would try to access the admin portion, not the specific user's quarantine. If this works as I need, I wonder if there is a policy to set this up, or if it would be a manual, one-by-one endeavor.
