Better now that she was given some food. she wasn't able to keep anything down for about a week.

Oh wow.

thankfully they got her rehydrated, got her some meds and she's finally able to eat some real food.. it's been a long week.. but she's getting back to normal!

I have decided I will be answering stupid questions from my bosses from here on out as with as much troll as possible until I get fired.

Last Monday driving into the office , pretty exciting in a week from today I'll be starting my new role

It is my official Last Day at RDS - got in an hour late, leaving at 3:00pm and not turning back .

It is , yeah. great company awesome people and lots of learning happening ; excited to get started with customers- i've been closing ticket and it's only my first week .
the perks are awesome too (coffee subscription paid for by the company is by far my favorite)

Closing tickets left and right and it's only my 2nd week on the job (week2 day 1) doing a lot of things I'm used to and some new stuff I am learning on the fly + guided learning

First evening shift - 2 hours left, I can't even begin to explain how much better this company is

Hello, Im Will 19, brand new to IT, took a couple classes in middle school about 5 years ago. Any suggestions on books, websites, best ways to learn etc.. i would appreciate it, have had a love for the way computers work and so on since middle school years.

Im using my Girlfriends Laptop (my charging cord became a cat snack the other night and I don't have money at this time to get a new one.) she told me I can do what ever I need to; downloads such and such.
trying to find VirtualBox so I can give Linux Mint 18 another go.
disc Space is not an issue. 363 GB free disc space here.
my question is; which VirtualBox, should I use? theres a dozen or so choices.

Right now I have Windows 10 Pro, was trying to test in Oracle Virtual Box but with many failed attempts: wouldn't reboot, was constantly running slow and freezing, install wouldnt complete, and I am really tired of fighting with it.
Want to try KVM to test Unifi Controller,
Can anybody point me in the right direction or provide a walk through?

Fedora 25 XCFE was a success install and my desktop is (somewhat) fully functional. Now i have to either wait til I get to the New house and get Internet set up, or go buy a Network adapter. I like the user interface though, very nice, Not much else i can (or want) to do tonight with it.

Watching the Professor Messer Network+ videos, adding to my notes while I watch a very sad tv show on netflix called "the IT crowd" and by sad i mean completely unbelievable and extremely irrelevant to anything IT, but the stupidity makes it quite the funny show..

the task manager is a great tool - IMO
You can use task manager to end programs, a quick view of what's running for programs, processes, services. It's a quick view of how the system in running, etc.

I use task manager everyday to kill programs, query services, etc.
