Good Morning. Big holiday? Which one?

It's Thanksgiving which is pretty big here. It's not religious, just a national day of celebration. It's kind of like our founder's day. It's on a Thursday so pretty much always means a four day weekend for the working folks. You do loads of food and always get together with family. It's actually one of the biggest US holidays. Not as big as Christmas, but bigger than anything else that I can think of. Bigger than New Years, bigger than Easter, bigger than the Fourth of July.

Yeah, that too But I'm currently in a "gaming phase" - Dead Space 1-3 right now.

Next real "development sprint" apart from work will be around Xmas - there's a whole bunch of Arduinos, Raspberries, Relais', photo transistors, IR diodes and what not that needs to be installed on my dads Märklin H0 model train track. Lots of software development included, should be a lot of fun. Will probably write a small post about it.

Selling some stuff on eBay like DSLR lenses, DDR2 RAM etc.

I always forget how much work it is to create the auctions.

Ordered a new one, same brand, another model. Arrived today and it's working pretty good. No issues with the GPU.

Will RMA the other and see how much the vendor pays back. They are allowed to reduce the price when something is used here and when you're sending it back just because "you don't like it".

I could've avoided that by sending the old board back first and get a replacement, but that would take weeks.

Oh, I guess it will. 2x 4GB (2x2 GB) kits, OZC overclocker stuff, bla bla with fancy looking coolers bla bla.. Didn't bought them myself. The last used pair was sold for ~40 EUR a few days ago. That's too much to throw them away.

I have Arma2 with all dlc, but havent got 3 yet. my buddy keeps telling me to.

A colleague kept talking about it, over and over again. Never played Arma 2, but I used to be an "Operation Flashpoint" junky.

I'm afraid that I will spend countless hours Arma 3, just like I did in Flashpoint.

Thanks mate... that was the point where you should've assisted me at least in some way. Like "Hey, you'll figure that out" or "You know, you're my hero, I'm so damn sure you'll manage this one" or "Man, we just changed the name of our first born so he carries your name in the future. Because you're such an awesome guy and I have no doubt in your abilities to read the data on the wire just by LOOKING at them".
