Which brings up an interesting point, this means that IBM has abandoned Lenovo, their long term partner and the owner of the old IBM brand. So, in a way, IBM no longer runs IBM! Which is not that shocking, since even in 2000 - 2001 they relied on Sun to provide their servers instead of eating their own dogfood.

This is interesting as not too long ago Red Hat made a major effort to integrate Puppet inside of their Satellite product.

HAProxy is very cool. It is used nearly everywhere that I look with cloud hosted applications.

Yeah, but you can run XBMC / Kodi on a friggin Roku stick... why pay $249 for that?

Of course I visited the Lenovo table while at SpiceWorld to get my card punched.... so they called/emailed me afterwards.

I wrote them a nicely composed email indicating that in light of the several points of consumer privacy related issues with their systems, I could never buy or recommend their equipment again.

Good point. I don't particularly doubt that it is there, just don't want to count unhatched chickens, you know? HP used to sell Proliants with the built in virtualization disabled via BIOS. Not that IBM would pull that, but without knowing that the feature is there for sure, it's something to look into.

Ouch, that is pretty serious. That explains why they were so quick to release a tool for cleaning it up!
