Now we are calling adding smileys and integration with yelp, and uber as being more open than ever?

Apparently, yes. But it is true technically as well. Does not mean it is very open compared to FOSS software, but in context it is true.

I get the feeling that "and nothing of value was lost" is appropriate.

      I'm guessing that is right!

Right but with our software, they only support the default which is Gnome 3. And at $70K per seat per year for some of it, we don't stray too far away from that.

Okay, yeah. That's understandable. Set up Gnome 3 on one of your Home VMs and see how painful or not it is, lol.

Ha I've got a couple running here and I've tried different ways to get in. We can run apps with X2Go with the published apps list, but just no desktop. It's not a big deal, but some people like having the full desktop to work with.

OH I haven't had any issues with my Verizon there when we have traveled through. But we do keep to main routes so not sure that makes a difference. In TX the only place Verizon didn't work for me is in DownTown Dallas.

If you're ever through my part of Ohio I'll take a few hours off work and we can go have lunch/dinner at one of the Amish style restaurants, only then can you appreciate how backwards things are around here.

OH sure, but not when I was there 😞

I didn't realize you were headed within 1/4 mile of my place until it was to late to plan anything 😞

      Sure sure, always an excuse.

No different than you driving right past me in St Louis and claiming @scale was more important than meeting up with me.

      Excuses I tell ya.

Or driving past Pittsburgh recently also.

Not all that close. Only as close as Sharon.

That's only like an hour, depending on how fast you drive.

Stop blocking the existing functionality for this, because it is there, they just disabled it. Make Skype actually work first.

His comment is about the fact that Super Mario (a game from how long ago now?) is just now available on a different platform.

The platform change is a big move, but come out with a new game if you're going to do it. Make a bigger splash of it.

You do not get much bigger than Super Mario, nor the Apple iPhone event.

Also this was Nintendo. I seriously cannot compute how you guys do not understand how big this is that Shigeru Miyamoto got on Apple's stage to do this.

Didn't realize this was a fan boy thread. I'll show myself out.

Yeah, neither Nintendo nor Apple make me hard, so I give this announcement a big "who cares?"

I'm right there with you. Nintendo hasn't done much in the past 10-15 years for me to get excited about. This is cool because it means we may see some games like Metroid and Pikman on other platforms. Although we generally already have those games from different developers on the PC.

10-15.... more like ever. They are a huge player, but their IP is garbage. Mario... sucks. Zelda...OMG it's awful. Mother was great, but Nintendo hates anyone who likes it. Starfox, lol.

other than webroot, who's had more false positives at my one client who uses them than panda that I have been running for 10+ years.

I'm not understanding your statement. This feels like only part of a sentence. Is this a question?

      It's a statement - I'll re-word.

Webroot has had more false positives in the 3 years a client of mine has been using Webroot, than I have had in the 10+ years another client has been using Panda AV.

So while I love Webroot (primarily the journaling), it does require more support than other options I have/do use.

I see, thanks for the clarification. That's not what I had read you to mean at all. That makes more sense.
