@dustinb3403 Lol, it was clear. I actually laughed out loud in the office so now everyone thinks I'm weird.

RE: Sodium Update
@dashrender Yep, we're including you guys in EXTREMELY early. One thing that we believe is that there is regularly a very large disconnect between software engineers and IT. Because of this there is also a large disconnect between what software engineers THINK you need and what you actually need. This way we can get great insight that will help direct us from a very early point instead of us having to continuously go back and make changes. We're TRYING to make it the right way from the start.

@scottalanmiller Yes, of course, we have UAC actually enabled, and require an external admin account to install anything.
It's installed now.
Just running a CMD would open a command window... fail all things not allowed as non-admin, then close.
I thought I had done that, then poof, it showed up in the console.
Um. . . what?
@dashrender said in Sodium Update!:
FYI, my new install this morning is still not in the console
Yeah mine either.
Hi guys! I'm actively looking into this issue as we speak. Please give me a little bit and I'll figure out what is going on. We have been modifying some of the jobs that pick these up due to us working on linux support and something must have went wrong. I will keep you guys posted!

RE: Sodium Update
@scottalanmiller Likely still kinks to work out. I'll be taking a look when I get a chance. You did actually find these before we had announced fully haha!

Sodium Support for Linux!
Alright everybody, this is a big one. We all know that Linux support is huge and we ARE still working on this but as @scottalanmiller found out we are actively working on this and he has seen some results with our work. Please note that this is still a big focus piece for us and we are still in the process of verifying that things are working but please feel free to try the linux launchers and give them a shot. If they don't work, don't be alarmed it's likely we're simply just ironing bugs still.
All that being said, have fun and go nuts!

@QuixoticJeremy my first Linux boxes have started to show up.
Sweet! We've been working on these pretty hard. We hadn't made an announcement about it because we were still testing to verify but it looks like it is time to do so!

Just a quick note! Server is being restarted as we speak due to a push out.
Just like a baby.
A very beautiful/quickly developing baby -
RE: Sodium Update! New Dashboard!
@dashrender This is true. It is a bit on the large side, we will be increasing the size of the dash by a little bit in the very near future. There is however plans for use of the rest of that space on the right a little later down the road.

RE: Sodium Update! New Dashboard!
@dashrender There is 15px of free space on the left. As for the middle, that fills up with machines QUICK! Plus it's an interchangable display that is used for other things. For example, for notes:

@dashrender Would you mind showing me a screenshot of your manage unit groups page?

Sodium Update! New Dashboard!
Hi everybody! I'm back! New news in the world of Sodium! We've released a new dashboard that is going to make your life (and ours) much easier! We've also locked down just about all of the login issues and sped things up quite a bit! It's been a massive undertaking today but things are looking good. Please check it out and let us know what you think!
For those of you that don't know us yet, Sodium our product is a FREE rmm software that is very new (only a few weeks into development, not even really a beta yet) with the goal of being much more than an rmm software. We're here to gain insight from the nice IT folk here and make a product that actually works for you guys!

RE: What Are You Doing Right Now
@wirestyle22 Well played good sir, well played. Mine has learned to just not talk to me about anything she expects me to remember prior to my coffee.

RE: What Are You Doing Right Now
@dafyre Mine did not give me that convenience this morning lol. Mine came into the room and was like.... shouldn't you be up? It's 7:15.... meanwhile my alarms have been going off the past half hour. (she had gotten up at 6:45 with the baby)

Waiting on my IT guy to wake up so that he can push a release lol.
Coffee waiting usually gets me out of bed sooner.
Me too, he should pay someone to have that ready to go for him in the AM :). I guess I can't blame him though, it was a late night last night in terms of dev. I actually missed my alarm this morning and was almost late to my other full time position haha.
