Just for background - Fibrant is a municipal ISP that was setup by the City of Salisbury to fill in the gaps that other ISPs in the area refused to fill. They expanded from there and offer high speed services to the majority of the city.

but adding in SIP to services, that's where the problems tend to start. Being an ISP is good. Offering SIP is good. Putting the two together is generally bad. No
t always, of course, but pretty often.

Just because an ISP offers sip does not mean they are a shit IST

Yup, which I pointed out. I leans that way, but doesn't mean that it is the case.

That isn't what your first response was though. Your first response was very narrow and specific.

Yep, correlation doesn't equal causation. The two aren't related at all.

@BBigford If you know the right people the price is the same 😉

I'm sure there are people just loading up VNC (free) and using it for business... we finally got all licensed compliant.

Just frustrating that Microsoft gives away their RDP client to Apple for free, but nothing that goes the other way for businesses to stay compliant.

There are free VNC tools, I would think some of the freebie VNC servers would work on macs and not just the apple built in server

There's Free, Personal (small scale business), and Enterprise (large scale business)... Free is for "individual, personal use", I'm guessing we wouldn't be allowed to use that because it's being used in a business setting.

It doesn't even have to have a wide range of functionality. I just need to be able to remotely connect and launch OSX Server (rarely).

Which ones are you referring too? Most VNC is free not just free for personal use..

I'm saying why does it have to me the native Mac one? Tight VNC etc are open source (not sure if they have a Mac version) but I'm sure there are ones for mac

We have CUCM for all locations (in many time zones) and we have Time of Day routing setup. CUCM seem to not have a way to over ride this without IT changing it? Does anyone know of a way? we'd either like each location to have a manual over ride softkey on the phones or an API we can make a web interface with for some people to change it

Does it matter if it's a dog a cat or a snake? The pet was family, just like your child is family

Dude, not even the same at all. Don't try to compare animals to a child.

Not to split hairs here - but for some couples who are unable to have children (medically) a pet to you is a child to them. They have the same attachment and love for the animal as they would have for a child if they could have one.

      It still not the same.

Have you seen this (blocking GPO)? http://superuser.com/questions/946988/cant-install-net-3-5-on-windows-10#comment1449644_947660

Edit: Won't help I think. GPO is about loading additional dependencies directly from Windows Update. Shouldn't relate to offline sxs.

That GPO would make sure that MS servers were contacted. I set it anyway. no difference online or media.

That GPO Never seems to work..

No sure why they can't do translation rules, Cisco can still do this. The problem is if you "live" dial by picking up the headset first the system usually will assume you want the PSTN

I think pressing the 8 is the same as live dialing, that's why they can't intercept it.

      No, it's not it's a dial pattern.

on ours I don't even have to dial a 9 if I don't want too. I can do 7 or 10 digit dialing. But it takes longer for the call to process and send to the PSTN if you don't dial 9 first. It's all in the rules we have setup.

That's a Mitel as well? I know with Asterisk you can dial 10 or 7 digits with no additional delays. You're right it is all in the rules though.

There's likely some delay even with Asterisk. It has to realize you're finished dialing.

      No, we use Cisco.

yeah, it's one of my personal domains.. It's for protection.. I think it's a scam. It can take up to 30days to review. and of course auto-renew is June 16th.

$20 says they want the "web development" person to make them a Wix site.

Another $20 says they will let them go as soon as it's done.

Your numbers may be correct for Open License, but I am on a Select 6.

That must be some education/government thing. I've heard the O365 pricing is lower, so that's good for you, all the more reason to go to it when possible. But I can understand if it's not.

There are many different levels of agreements and they aren't based on being education or government any plan besides open will be cheaper, and the higher you go up the cheaper it is.
