      @ajstringham I can upgrade my Cox for double what I'm currently paying for something close, not sure it's really needed, the money would be better spent on my travels 🙂

      35Mb up? wow what do you do with all that speed? Are you allowed to host your own servers.

      What is it about companies making products that still don't natively support email over TLS? come on people it's security. SIGH!

    • RE: What are you listening to? What would you recommend?

      I'm horrible with names, but I'd say of the types I listen to I'm in the same boat, I know most them within 3-5 notes. I've noticed a lot of music on the radio now have borrowed the same opening notes of songs I know from the 80's and 90's. Sometimes this frustrates me, I'm expecting to hear a song I really enjoy, then I'm disappointed when I realize it's the new one.

    • RE: What are you listening to? What would you recommend?

      Live or die, hmmmm... I guess many people around me would qualify for that, but I don't find myself in that camp. I had tape/dat/cd and mp3 players like everyone else, but since around the late 90's music hasn't been that important to me. These days I listen to podcasts when I remember to bring them with me. I only listen to the radio in my car, otherwise I almost never put music on.
      This isn't to say that I don't like music. I do. I just don't feel the draw to go in search of new tunes or even enough of a draw to buy (or otherwise acquire) music that I hear incidentally that I do like.

      FYI, nice picks, I like them all too.

    • RE: SOHO Router Equipment

      I agree, I have a few sorta newer Linksys routers and they have definitely been hap hazard with connectivity.

      Since I had two I decided to upgrade one to DD-WRT (not really as straight forward as I'd like - but I can't really complain either). At this point I'm only kicking myself for not doing it sooner! My wireless has been rock solid ever since switching. I'd like to say my internet speed are better, but my meager 30 Mbit is pretty lame so I'm sure my router wasn't causing me much issue there.

    • RE: Here Is How Much I Love VIPRE for AV

      NIce, just one more reason why I don't want people plugging their phones into office computers, even if it's just to charge them.. I have put power strips in all of our larger work areas and people are welcome to bring in their own chargers, it's worked pretty well.

      Panda AV added the ability to disable USB/DVD/cameras last year. This has made it easy to enforce people not using USBs.

      I haven't owned a game system since the original Gameboy, and the Atari 2600 before that.

      @ajstringham

      I'm interested in trying this. I have 40 machines to replace - not that my users have anything I care about keeping.

      I've been trying to think what I would ever use something like this or the rasberrypie... very cool things... just little personal use.
