RE: Secure syncing tool
@ajstringham The purpose is quicker file access.
@scottalanmiller We could use DFS, but they have a global AD migration plan going on, and so we will at some point get all migrated to their AD. ]
So I am looking at a standalone solution which will be used to sync our network drive to branch offices nas

Secure syncing tool
Hi all,
Since we moved all our offices to our parent company's MPLS line, we are looking into a secure syncing tool which syncs our head office file server to branch office network drives, and users could access it locally as mapped drive from each office. Checked bittorrent sync, but read mixed reviews about the security factor.
Do you guys use any similar solution?

RE: Server refresh - when should I?
Below link should give you an answer
http://creativecomputerms.com/2013/10/why-should-i-replace-my-out-of-warranty-server/Especially this one: The life-cycle of a server should be no greater than the manufacturerโs warranty
On a side note: We had server which lasted for almost 8 years before anything broke, but when it broke, parts were not available, so we had to wait for quite some time to get it back up and running, luckily, it was not a critical server, so we survived!
