So I thought I would be able to download the client without having an account. I guess not, ha. I guess I won't be of much help then.

The client RPM doesn't come from their site but from your own SC server 🙂

Oh ok. Well since I don't subscribe to their service I guess you're on your own.

But out of curiosity, is it worth $39 per tech per month?

We subscribed to this over a year ago when their fees were a one time thing. YES it was worth it. So much more stable than LogMeIn.

It's been great and the cost was very different back when we got it. It is the best system I have ever used for this. Stable, fast, easy to use and flexible.

The one time fee makes sense. Im cheap so I try to do everything free if I can haha.

One time fee versus subscription doesn't make it cheaper or more expensive, just capex versus opex. I generally prefer opex, but it is TCO that really matters.

They still have a one time fee option. just priced differently.

Just a quick follow up: This has not been forgotten but in the interim we had to deploy a Linux Mint instance instead and the Fedora 23 testing is going to wait until we have the new lab system online and it will be tested there. It is still on the docket, just a few weeks out.

We moved to a different Linux choice and Fedora 24 released. So closing this out as unneeded.
