Zoho and Windows Calendar

Does anyone know any workarounds for getting Zoho to work on the Windows touch calendar? The Windows Mail client connects to the active exchange server (msync.zoho.com) and email works. However calendar events just show an error and say
There was a problem syncing event name on date and timebut actually show the title of the event in the error along with the correct date and time.I know they don't support desktop applications using exchange, but this has to be somewhat close since email works fine and the calendar at least knows the event name.

Update. If I create an event on the Surface with the calendar it shows up in the Zoho calendar, however if I create an event in Zoho it does not show up on the Surface.
