Samsung Set to Overtake Intel As Leading Chip Maker

It has been a very long time since Intel climbed to the top of the hill. They've had a pretty easy time keeping everyone else away from their top ranked spot. And while Intel has kept their place as king of the hill for 2017 Q2, it looks like they may not manage to continue to do so come next quarter as Korean behemoth Samsung looks like it will have little issue knocking Intel from its perch. Samsung is, of course, a major maker of memory, flash and ARM-based processors.
