      I have not needed to use the iDRAC console in a couple of years now, and I had not realized that I still had to have f'n java installed in order to use it. WTF....

            I have literally zero devices with Java installed. I will have to install it just to handle this task I need to do.

                    I have 1 admin workstation with java on it just to access iDRACs on production systems. PITA.

                        Can you set that so it doesn't install the Browser addons and all that ?

                        It does that by default i believe.
                        It also install both the 32 and 64 bit versions by default.

                              Yes, I have just rebooted servers instead of using the console.
                              That is quite sad.

                                        I even logged in to the DRAC with SSH and did a reset of it.

                                            I had to import the iDRAC SSL certificate into Java...
