That means that we have hit the tipping point. The world's largest SSD (at any cost) is now 60% larger than the world's largest spinning rust legacy style Winchester drive (at any cost.) So while SSDs remain more expensive per GB, they are no longer smaller in capacity!! We were told to expect that this year, but now it has happened.

It's a local printer, so this issue is isolated to a single machine?

Yep isolated to this machine and user... this particular one is very troubled!

Isolated to the machine AND user? Have you tried from another User Profile on that machine?

Sigh, and I thought consumer wise at least Samnsung was as good as HP and Dell.

First rule of buying computers, avoid consumer.

Sure, I guess I was giving them to much credit because there are no business class phones or TVs, two places they make a pretty decent product in.

I contacted Samsung and they feel that its the cable or the charger. I dont feel that it is since I get same results with other chargers and cables, but they are telling me to bring my phone in to my local wireless store.

huh? they aren't just going to send you a replacement?

I was told they dont send out replacement chargers or cables. They only service phones.

Wow, that would be like Dell telling me that they won't replace my power cord while I still have a valid warranty. Even the batteries are normally covered for the first year by the warranties.

Sounds like another reason to bail on Samsung.

That's pretty much inevitable though, right? Look at any technology and you can pretty much apply this same logic to it. Though the time frame can fluctuate wildly.

    Yup, pretty much.

You've been on iPhone so long I wonder if this is really an issue?

Just over a year. Not all that long. But does anyone actually provide support for a rooted phone? Do you get them replaced when things don't work? Like if I have a battery issue I expect a new phone. If I root the phone, will that still happen?

Yes. Rooting a phone in no way voids manufacturer warranties or support from the carrier.

It makes sense as both have a lot of stack in the Chromebook game. Intel wants to move processors and AMD is currently weak in the Chromebook space (but for how long) and Samsung is very strong in the CB space while being weak in the traditional laptop space. So they both want to see Chromebooks succeeding for their own reasons.

I tried other things with high hopes but returned to the iPhone.

I, too, am anxiously awaiting the return to iPhone. June is coming soon...
I like Android, don't get me wrong. But I liked my iPhone better.
