Find Samsung EVO PLUS U3 SD card
Pair it with USB CARD Reader that has certified chipset + optionally lanyyard + optionally SD card cover like:

Competitors even from Samsung does not have the same performance, more like half of it only.

I know this might be not original idea like the concept of black nail polish, everyone think they are original with it, but again I dont see alot of people doing it, and it is hella great.

~60 MB/s is similar to an old HDD, which is good from sd card.

The thing is I heard about NVMe external, but the cost/benefit ratio is much smaller.

@emad-r I'm talking 500MBps+ here. Makes a huge difference in the amount of time it takes to create a backup. The big question is, how much is your time worth? I'm willing to bet that the speed difference between the two makes it "cheaper" to spend the extra money for the fastest possible transfer rate.

I put a regular 2.5" SSD in an USB3 enclosure years ago to get several hundreds MB/sec.

Today maybe a portable SSD drive would a great thing to buy instead of inventing the wheel. Like Samsung T5 below.
