Entire client site suddenly went down a bit ago and then came back up.

Log in and check the router and find uptime is 10 minutes.

Well shit. Also the GUI was slow and the CPU graphic kept spiking.

Logged into the CLI and ran top to find that a bunch of UBNT utilities keep eating up the processor.

Off to research things in a bit, but first need lunch.

And I found my own post about this still unresolved.

Sadly I forgot about the issue because other things kicked up priority.

I need to work with my ERL more. After setting it up with your ( @JaredBusch ) assistance, and then re-configuring it to a higher speed, I've not done anything really to it. I need to sort out some more security I believe.. just because I feel it should be done.

OK I think it's VPN related. The one in that post was ospf and the one today is static routes. My guess is something on the VPN tunnels and it's routing is flipping it out. Those protocols of course aren't vpn spefic but something tells me it's likely routes from the vpns somehow causing it.

No. Not using any of the features that are spiking.

sudo ipsec stop kills all the tunnels but makes no difference to the CPU issue.

I deleted the old traffic control policy and implemented a standard fq_codel policy with no effect.

I disabled the traffic analysis. no effect.

@travisdh1 -- Maybe he should start with something simple... like a reboot? (I haven't seen him mention that anywhere).

The entire reason it came back up is that the unit rebooted itself (crashed) at 1300 CDT yesterday.
