Turns out I know someone who just got one. Gonna go take a look this afternoon, and probably get it setup for him.

I'll be buying one shortly, so watching this thread.

(And re-reading all the previous ones.)

Yes, you can power the unit with the same PoE injector. The ER-X does a passthrough only. It does not actually provide power to an AP itself. It simply siphons off power from the injector to power itself.

Yes there is a dual WAN wizard.

Yes in the current firmware (1.8.5), you can setup some QoS in the GUI. This was new in 1.8.0.

Just bought one Edge Router POE + one Unifi AP: that's fast! Love the CLI!

Thanks @JaredBusch, always nice to have someone confirm everything will work like you think.

Went and got about halfway through the config for the guy I know who already bought one this afternoon. I like it enough that I'm going to recommend the purchase tomorrow.... they haven't said no yet when I've asked for money, and $50 isn't much for what it does.

Has anyone seen the new 10gbit, 12sfp + 4copper one for $600? Does any other vendor even touch that on 10gig equipment?

                    That's amazing. And no.

I spotted it somewhere on a spiceworks thread, and lost it since 😞

                            B+H has them available: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1267265-REG/ubiquiti_networks_es_16_xg_edgeswitch_16_10g.html

Well, I think Ubiquiti just found a way into the switch market.

They've had some really competitive edge switches in the past. This would be a decent trunk or backbone switch... for significantly less then anyone else on the market.

Got one sat at home with a AC Lite and Draytek V130 to be set-up.
Just need some time to play with the setup. (hopefully in a few weeks)

The EdgeSwitch line is certainly filling out to a full line for the basic options they released with a year ago.

Apparently I figured out my issue with the dual wan traffic shaping. Had to turn on stickiness.... just goes to show you how little I've dealt with networking.
