This was my question - I'm guessing it's possibly seen as attempting to steal viewers, but as I mentioned it really won't steal viewers since they are watchable easily at different times.

I was a die hard SG1 fan - I wasn't going to not watch a show I loved to try a new show that was on at the same time (stupid Fox), which is, I'm sure, why it failed.

Firefly was so popular it spun to a theatrical movie - While it's short stink on TV might have spurred some additional appreciation it might not otherwise have gained, I'm willing to bet it would have made at least 3 seasons on Fox had they not put it in the same time slot as SG1

Overall, not all that weird.

And today the same thread hits 250K views!! Wow. That gives us a pretty good metric on how long the first 100K took and how long the next 150K took, which was not too long!

The thing they did right was to hire a professional marketer to help them with merchandising and appearances. That's why grumpy cat has millions of dollars and Scumbag Steve doesn't.

I personally avoid Celerons like the plague. Mainly due to the fact that historically, they have been a cheap pile of crap that bottlenecked the system. Kind of like a cork in a bottle.
Yes, as @scottalanmiller stated, that's not so much of an issue today but I still can't bring myself to consider them because of how bad they used to be.

To me, they still seem like 3-4 year old tech picked up at a $2 shop, repackaged & sold as new.
