I am currently using the Netapp with Windows DFS.

Users access it using SMB. Every AD user has a DFS namespace and added the netapp shares to those users, and the \servername\sharename added to their AD profiles to map to all users.

We do have slowness when accessed from a MAC through VPN which is a seperate issue which I am working on currently.

But file auditing is bit more urgent now.

Pertino is what we do.... full mesh VPN / Software Defined Network. Every device is on it. So every server, every desktop, every laptop and soon NAS devices and iOS devices as well (as soon as they get on the iOS bus!!) But you can do other things too like Cisco IPSEC VPNs, OpenVPN, etc. Lots of options.

Ah...that might explain your comment. About 4 months ago one of my clients OWA was from Comcast and it didn't look the same, so I presume they weren't using 2013 Exchange.

OWA 2013 is definitely much different than any of the OWAs in 2010.

@Dashrender Asus routers are by far the easiest I have ever setup. Almost pull out of box and plug in easy.

I love the newer ASUS line, it has DD-WRT by default for firmware. It has added features compared to most manufacturer firmware. But it's not too hard to configure. Should be fairly easy for non-techies to understand. I probably won't go back to Linksys since Cisco no longer owns it.

I don't think Cisco owning Linksys added any value. Hurt it actually.

The Asua line with DD-WRT was a brilliant move on Asus' part. If you want DD-WRT which a lot of people do, why go anywhere else? I need to get one for testing soon. Probably the best way to go for home routers.

We use a mac mini server for streaming locally generated TV content (I work for telecom, working with IPTV) So it's primarily multicast traffic.

We do have a mac mini server for corporate as well. That handles the group policies and such for our mac computers. Works nice. Not sure what OS version it is on.

Agree with @scottalanmiller - don't bring it up unless you can prove it.

I agree....find the proof first. I would suggest the genuine advantage step first. Then maybe you could put the product key in a google search? Maybe it will come up?

@Mike-Ralston It's a router / firewall that you can install on pretty much any old computer with two NIC's.

The one thing you have to worry about for hardware requirements is the supported network cards. It will RUN on anything but you may not be able to use it if your network cards are not supported.

      Check out: https://www.pfsense.org/hardware/index.html#compatibility

Finished update, no problems. I did have to unplug the external USB drive and plug it back in to get it recognized but that was it.

      Here's my situation,
I've dorked up my phone - not sure how, but I want to hard reset it.

My concern is that since I'm using GA for several sites (mentioned above) I want to make sure I will still get codes for all of those sites.

The standard process for moving GA to a new phone (or setting it up on a hard reset phone) is to visit the GA site and reinstall, scan the code on screen that Google gives you and you're going again... but I'm guessing that the code that good is presenting is a whole new one, different from what I have right now (it's also how they ensure it's only one phone phone at a time). So since the base code has changed, even if my phone brings in the 'sync' codes from the other services from my old phone, since the base code is different, my GA provided codes for say Dropbox won't match any more and now I'm locked out of my Dropbox account.

So I'm wondering, do I have to visit all of the sites I'm currently using GA with, and disable TFA, then reset my phone, and then go back and re set them all up? God I hope not!

I just wish I could remember why I didn't like them - I clearly do remember thinking to myself, OMG really - you're selling that? There's no security in that model at all.

The biggest thing I would look at - can Citrix look at your stuff if they want to? If you're in a HIPAA setup, you want to make sure you control the encryption keys so they can't look, even if they wanted to.

We tried refurb cartridges several years ago and it was terrible. Probably 25% failure rate, and several toner explosions. I hate printer troubleshooting anyway, so it isn't worth the pain to me.
