@Obsolesce Yeah, that's not bad. Outlook definitely handles it better than many.

Don't remember off hand with Gmail.

What I do know, is that I never miss emails in conversation view. I've only missed emials with Outlooks dumb "focused inbox" feature. But never with conversation view. I separate emails too after they are processed. But guess I use emial differently than you.

If the conversation is ongoing, I don't think I move it anywhere. If I have email tasks to do, I'll simply flag it for follow-up, or right-click on it to add as a task.... all while the conversation can continue to flow as normal.

Yeah, the focused inbox is something that created havoc when they first rolled that out and enabled it by default. All my users were missing messages. Now, I turn that off prior to giving out new systems.

@scottalanmiller Thanks. At first, I thought it was only a DE. Then I saw your post about the installation screens and thought I was wrong; it was just an OS. Now I get it LOL

As far as "organizing", I only use search folders (not subfolders) for a couple of things like to/from my boss and VARs. Everything just stays in the inbox. Makes it much easier to maintain.

I only use it in GMAIL. Even then, I would prefer not to use it in most cases. For work, I never turn that shit on. It is easy to lose shit that way.

      Nice.

How well does it perform compared to the others?

And how well compared to Deepin on Deepin?

Now I am confused. Deepin is both an OS and a desktop environment (like KDE and gnome)?

I do find it funny, that they all have gui installers when everything is cli, out of the box.

If the client isn't connecting at N or AC, you won't get higher speeds. If the client hardware is capable, you can try modifying the adapter properties and forcing the preferred band.

Just an FYI - Whenever I see weird issues with Wifi affecting a single client, I usually find that the client is a Windows device that has been using sleep mode. Sleep causes speed issues and other weird issues like connecting not being able to connect to a VPN but no issues connecting to the internet.

Will this also be available after the conference (in video or audio) for those of us who might have used the topics covered to convince their boss (CFO) to go to MC?

That is the intention, and the people (cough MQ cough) who blocked that in the past are no longer involved. The primary focus of the conference, beyond the opportunity for socialization in person, is the production of the video materials, so there will be a strong focus on making sure that those come out and are available.

Awesome. Maybe I will be able to go in 2020 🙂

Paul Chiodo, CEO of NTG will take you through IT Finance. You'll learn the ins and outs of getting your projects funded, appeasing the bean counters, and why understanding IT spend will make your life better.

Learn to talk the language of the CFO and their C-Suite counterparts, and why following the money is the key to project success. Paul will shed light on terms like ROI, CapEx, COGS, and other finance jargon to help you communicate with those that hold the purse strings.

We'll go through a concept that will lower your budget, while increasing your technology, and at the same time, reduce requests for non-value added technology.

If you have ever had a project turned down, or funding denied, this is a must attend session.

Reserve your seat for MangoCon 2019!

I have have N3000 stack too. If I connect 1 * 10 GbE from the N4000 stack to 1 * 10 GbE on the N3000 stack, and set the interfaces to allow vLAN1 and vLAN20, on both stacks, will anything on each vLAN route though the 10 GbE to the other stacks respective vLAN? I guess like a dumb layer 2 switch being connected to another dumb switch, they just pass traffic irrespective of vLAN?

      It should.

I did some stacking on N-series not too long ago.

Dell have some info on their site:
      https://www.dell.com/support/article/se/sv/sedhs1/how10357/how-to-stack-and-unstack-a-member-in-dell-emc-networking-n4000-switch?lang=en

There is also some stacking videos on youtube. It's not too complicated but it requires some power cycling.

PS. Can't help you on DHCP and routing. I haven't done much L3 stuff with these switches but I assume it will work.

Thats pretty much the process that I have in mind. The part im not sure about is between step 1 and 2. To get to the part where you can configure the interfaces as stacking interfaces, you have to go through first boot and setup the switch... (does all of that setup get removed when they become stack members?)

I didn't do any update of the stack firmware I just checked that they had the same version. It's a lot easier to update the firmware after they are stacked because they get upgraded together.

This is also true of Extreme Networks switches.

@Jimmy9008 Is that what the docs say the procedure is? I would imagine you would want to have all the switches at the same firmware level prior to adding them to the stack.
