And when they do fail we just replace the machines, we do not bother with replacing since there are so old.

    • RE: Error while installing Snipe IT

@scottalanmiller said in Error while installing Snipe IT:

Snipe-IT has a lot of fragility around their install scripts, and not a huge user base so issues are difficult to track down.

      I can personally promise that v4 installs under Debian 8 & 9.1, Ubuntu 14.04.5 & 16.04.3 & 17.04 and CentOS 6 & 7.

      If it doesn't ping me.

    • RE: Smart TV or Media Player with native SlingBox capability

@JaredBusch I was referring to an actual wireless hdmi transmitter like https://www.amazon.com/Nyrius-Transmitter-Streaming-Projector-NPCS549/dp/B009E6R89C assuming you are trying to stay away from tablet casting.

Downside for sure is the relatively large transmitter and cost. But if he doesn't have an existing tv that supports casting that is an alternative.

    • RE: Advice for new office setup

Guess im not as lucky. Within the last year i had a 24 port completely die, a 48 start randomly dropping packets, and finally a 48 that would sometimes boot but these were 7-8 year old switches. I ended up replacing the remaining 48s as a precaution.
