    • Potty Plotter

So about a year ago I came up with an idea for a website and app that would help you find restrooms and see reviews on them. I looked around the internet and found a few but everything seemed to ask for too much into or have too little info. Then I talked to a lot of people about what they wanted and got a lot of feedback about ideas. Then I got to work on the site and the app here is where I am on them.

      Site - http://pottyplotter.com/ - Almost done.
      App - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.supersimpleapps.pottyplotter.pottyplotter

I would love to hear feedback from everyone about it as there is always room for improvement. You are welcome to add potties to the database and if you placed one in error just let me know and I can remove it.

I bet she eats through phone batteries like crazy. There is a reason why our iPads get "like new" battery life at five or more years old!

Yeah thats why I never get her anything with the battery built in. I know of this battery rule you are talking about but what you really need to watch for is what the battery is made of. If it is a LiPo battery and you run it to less then %10 when the battery cells die or they get hot. Now with NiMH you can run them to 0 and they will be fine but if you are storing them they need to have somewhat of a charge in them.

Here is a site with more info on batteries then you will ever need

@thegillion Thanks for the post. I am looking for an alternate option for cpanel too for my dev servers, dont need the expensive cpanel to manage those servers.

This blog post has a review about some of the cpanels available. http://yusufarslan.net/choosing-control-panel-server-management

The one I havent used on that list is Froxlor so I cant say anything about it.

I have used Ajenti but it is so heavy on a server that you need something with about 1 gig just to run the panel. It is more of a all in one panel as you can see all the services on the server. I also saw a lot of crashes when I used it on CentOS 6.5

      How about ISPConfig?

That is what HowToForge promotes (I think that they make it.)

      http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-centos-6.5-apache2-mysql-php-pureftpd-postfix-dovecot-and-ispconfig3

I have used ISPconfig it is a good panel but the GUI looks like its something out of the 90s and its not a 1 click install like VestaCP. It is nice where you can control other servers on or off site with it but other than that I would use VestCP over it.

    • How Java ended the world.

So there I was working on a Skynet server that controls the nuclear war heads for the U.S. Just doing preventative maintenance to the @Nic (Nuclear Integrated Controls). When out of no where the "Java Setup" window popped up and the system went into fail safe. Thinking that there was a spy virus the system it toke control away from me. Then it started the launch sequence for the war heads. The U.S.S.R. then saw our war heads going live so they started their sequence too. As I set here telling this story with shit in my pants and knowing I am going to get fired. I wish you all the best of luck with future endeavors.

      P.S. find John Connor

P.S.S this is fake but still funny and how java updates piss me off

    • Step to create blank folder names in Windows 8/7

Using this trick, you can display a folder without a name. There is one caveat however. Your computer needs to have a Numeric keyboard pad.

In case some of you do not know, Numeric keypad or NumPad is the section of the keyboard on the right side, which usually contains 17 keys, viz. 0 to 9, +, -, *, /, ., Num Lock and Enter keys. As most of us would have numpad on our keyboard or laptop, this should not be a concern. so let us proceed with the steps.
To create blank folder names in Windows 8.1, right-click on the Windows desktop and select New > Folder.
The folder will get created on the desktop.
If you right-click the folder, select Rename and enter only spaces, the operating system will not accept it
To remove the name and display a blank name, right-click on the folder and select Rename. Now press the Alt key and from the Numeric keypad, press 0160.
Now press Enter or click anywhere on the desktop.
A folder with no name will be created. Change its icon and you could have a smart looking folder on your desktop.
