    • RE: Run virt-manager on Windows 10

Also i was finding that when i closed Virt-Manager on the Windows machine, then came back later the connection was lost and i had to re-add the connection and delete the default one that keeps coming back.

This was solved by running sudo apt-get install dbus-x11 on ubuntu

Now when i reboot my Windows machine and re-open virt-manager the default is gone and my KVM connects automatically 🙂

F**k it i'm going to be naughty (for the rest of the day) for the greater good of my sanity 🙂

Going to apply a "trail" license for FULL ESXi so I can backup the VM's on my host. Kill the host! and reinstall with XenServer in the production lol

Bout time, we've been waiting for you to convert to XS.

I've been playing with it on a test server, now time to move to production I think 🙂

    • RE: Suggestions to build a High-End Gaming PC

Personally my thing when advising people on this is £££££ you need to decide on what your budget is before looking at parts.

Some of my friends say they want high end 4K gaming but only want to spend £400 😄

So start with the budget then work around that 🙂

    • RE: Spec'ing a new computer from Dell or?

@nadnerB said in Spec'ing a new computer from Dell or?:

Personally, I'd rather build it myself or buy from a local computer shop.

I don't see any advantages in buying a tower PC from Dell/HP/other big box unless you're into Bloatware, bloated drivers (HP), limited options, and over priced parts (Dell SSD upgrades).

      Yes and No to this.
Personal machines, build myself as you get want you want.

      Business Machines.
Because for me, we don't have any local builders that I would trust as I know most and wouldn't want them to build anything 🙂
Also we buy Dell as we get 3yr On Site with all our machines.

Yes we could build them in house but when issues arise it's easier to just log it with dell and leave them sort it 🙂

@eleceng I'm just curious why the sudden change to Cisco?

Most probably a "Recommendation" from the DCS people. Same happened to us, they recommended Cisco for everything. We went Netgear 🙂

Work - just taking it slow catching up on issues and e-mails.

Me in general - seem fine in myself, adjusting to life with out a car 🙂 trying not to over think things for now until I see the neurologist.
