Unlike installing Linux Integration Services, Hot-Add support is not enabled by default after installing hyperv-daemons.

Create a file /etc/udev/rules.d/100-balloon.rules. You may use any other desired name for the file.

Add the following content to the file: SUBSYSTEM=="memory", ACTION=="add", ATTR{state}="online"

Reboot the system to enable Hot-Add support.

See Note 8 on Supported CentOS and Red Hat Enterprise Linux virtual machines on Hyper-V

You mean for dynamic memory to work?

Yes, dynamic memory for ballooning and hot-add.

Show SodiumSuite some love 😉 I actually forgot about it and voted for Salt and feel like an idiot. But it is there now, so you can vote for it.

      Ansible and SodiumSuite is tied.

Same reason why no one repairs inkjet printers. It's much cheaper and easier to buy a new instead.

Learning how to upgrade my laptop to Fedora 27 via dnf rather than going to sleep.

      dnf upgrade --refresh -y
      dnf install dnf-plugin-system-upgrade -y
      dnf system-upgrade download --refresh --releasever=27 -y
      dnf system-upgrade reboot

Yep. I kept looking for the system-upgrade parameter in the man pages, and then realized I had to install that plugin.

      You're trying to hard.
      https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/DNF_system_upgrade

I had already posted a one liner in this thread to just run and it fully updates.

You should've put that in it's own thread, makes it easier to find latter on.

There is a thread from Fedora 25 to 26 already.

Maybe you need to search better?

I searched for Scott's last week but could never find it. I instead went to Fedora and they gave a couple of lines on how to do this. I did this in one night. Pretty simple and easy.

I'm use to using google search when searching for contents on a website.

You can always setup Squid3 and Squidguard on CentOS or Fedora.

And setup SARG to generate reports

Ubuntu is getting more and more addicted to "falling behind."

Which is why I don't tend to use their desktop version anymore. They could help out the Red Hat dev who is working on the desktop extensions instead of holding back features.
