Linux Mint 17.3 "Rosa" is out and ready for prime time. The fourth Linux Mint desktop release based on the Ubuntu 14.04.3 foundation. For those using Linux Mint, it is time to get updated to the very latest is desktop goodness. We did our first install of a Mint 17.3 jump server last night and here are the console screenshots for those wanting to know what the install looks like. Overall the 17 series is graphically pretty similar, no real surprises here. We've tested Mint on Scale and everything works smoothly. ScreenConnect is already installed. Testing X2Go shortly.

I just put it on my desktop the other day. It works really well. I'm running Mate however.

This is a jump box, so Mate and LXDE will be key. I run Cinnamon on my laptop.

@mlnews You can polish a turd all you want, but it's still a turd... (I like Mint's desktop but haven't had great success with it otherwise)

              😛

I wonder what makes it the most polished desktop experience yet....

Have you used Cinnamon? It is seriously slick. I have never used any desktop on any environment that is a nice.
