      I went with a 970GTX and a 4k 30hz 40" TV

It's... alright. I only game in 1080P as I find the 30hz to be really jarring, especially when sitting close. It's really beautiful when you stand still and look at stuff.

With the 980ti and a monitor with 60hz you should have a better experience. For a flawless one guarenteed go 1440P

        I'd lean towards the 1440p.

Smooth 1440p is better than issues on 4K.

Yeah I don't know if I'd invest in a 4K gaming monitor, very few games are up to that level yet.

For what it's worth Nic, were I you I'd go for a 970gtx and a realllllllllllllllllllly obnoxiously good TV of the 50-60" variety.

Possibly a 4k one just for a desktop, but game in 1080P.

Well I'm back to gaming at a desk, so there are some limits on how big I can go on the monitor 🙂

Get one of these and game on a 50" tv like I do. 😛

Back in 2003 we put in a 14' screen for our gaming.
