      • Problem Solving
      • Empathy
      • Rolling Up One's Sleeves

Do you agree? What are they missing?

Empathy and Rolling Up One's Sleeves are not soft skills.

Empathy is an emotion for others issues.

RUOS is simply the desire to do work.

Neither of which is a skill.

Would problem solving then be a "skill" either? Are any "soft" skills actually skills?

A soft skill in my opinion is "talking someone from the ledge" kind of skill.

Being able to calmly gather enough information from a situation, to provide a solution that get's person A to calm the F down.

Customer Service, is often cited as a soft skill.

I tend to agree with that, and a large part of customer service is empathy.

That's how I would see it.
