Singer Tom Petty has passed away at age 66.

Amazing that everyone I have mentioned this to today who claims not to know Tom Petty, knows at least 4 or 5 of his songs I play them...

Apparently that initial report was wrong. Now they're stating that Tom Petty is clinging to life.

Rumour is that he is off life support and not expected to make it long. Apparenlty the PD released a false statement earlier.

I told my wife the same thing and she was like "who?". I had to send her a youtube video just to remind her.

2 of my siblings didn't know who he was either (but they are deaf so I will excuse it). My almost 20 year old knew who he was

Interesting since SS# specifically are not an ID at all.

Yet they're used as such all the time.... because people are dumb and ignore what said items actual use is supposed to be fore.

No one uses them as a national ID. That's illegal. Private companies use them, but that's not at all the same thing.

Tha'ts why you can sue so easily for compromised IDs, because they compromised something not backed by anyone.

it's not the people.. its the companies the people are doing business with that are basically forcing the use of SSN#.

Not using SSN as the national ID. Which we don't do currently. So they are proposing "no change."
