            One of the two key languages of the Microsoft world. C# and F#. F# is based off of OCaml. Very advanced language. C# and F# are the "first class citizens" of Microsoft development. F# is pure functional and, like C#, runs on .NET. VB.NET still exists and is supported but is seen purely as a "legacy support" language whereas F# is there to attract the top end developers looking for the most modern language options.

            F# in the .NET work is roughly comparable to Scala in the Java world. Both focused heavily on concurrence issues.

              Funnily I think @scottalanmiller and I both made a similar post in a similar conversation on SW months ago. There seems to often be interest in what it is or who is using it rather than actually using it, for the most part 🙂
