Good quarantining should include keeping people where they are.

I'm talking about the guys who were known to be infected while over there, and they were brought back to the US for treatment.

Yeah, that's a bad idea too. At least they did not cause outbreaks.

They could have just as easily "not cause outbreaks" while staying over there too. It would have been much less expensive to pack all of the equipment up and send it there, versus what did happen.

Anyways - I should just drop it.

I hear you Dashrender...I had the same opinion but others thought that was not compassionate enough...I realize this is a very bad virus but I hope it is overblown like these other flu's they like to scare is with. But then again, does this lend credit to those FEMA camp conspiracy theorists?

You'd have to sit near Jones? No wonder the tickets were free. That is one of the most hated men in Dallas.

Ha, well, our owner is good friends with him. Our owner is a major Democrat so he is always hob knobbing with Clinton when he is in town. He has a lot of clout...

He's not hated in Dallas because of his politics, it's because he makes the city look bad and used his money to pay off the Arlington government to destroy a neighbourhood. He did awful things to the poor people who live in that area.

If you make it to the game, stop in at the Arlington location of the bar that I frequent (to the point where a year later the staff still texts me) ....

              http://www.redneckheaven.com/

The Arlington location is nowhere near as good as the Lewisville one but it isn't bad. The Arlington location is the one where MTV shot their reality TV show. But they staffed it with the waitresses from Lewisville.

Well, not because of Ebola, I had to return the tickets due to some family events being rescheduled that weekend...going to make it to a game next year...but I'll check that place out...was going to go to my first Dave and Buster's when I was there too...

Redneck Heaven is a Dallas landmark now. If you have the time, go to Lewisville and email me before you go and I'll see who is working and line up a waitress for you. Waits to get in are often 45 minutes and we've seen as much as five hours (for real.) The longest I've ever actually waited was four hours, but that was a special event day.

                    The place is highly overrated.

Well, the owner is a Coyboys fan with seats two rows from Jerry Jones. Hard to say "no" when he offers them to us...especially when the last time I went, my STEELERS were playing! 🙂

It's getting very real around here (the ebola threat, that is). A family in the town where I live has officially been isolated for 21 days because the dad was on a plane and potentially exposed to one of those who now has ebola.

I realize there have not been that many confirmed cases, but it is a bit scary nonetheless.

They isolate people who rode on the plane but don't stop people that they know were exposed from riding planes in the place? That's insane. Only Texas would let the exposed nurse travel but quarantine the innocent people who were on the plane.

@Hubtech turns out it was Cleveland and the CDC that let her fly knowing that she had a fever.

This really shows how bad healthcare is in America. A trained, certified medical professional knew that she was exposed to ebola and knew that she had a fever and the CDC representative knew that she had a fever and maybe knew about the exposure and one decided to try to fly while being a risk and the other let her fly while being a risk. These aren't random people making uninformed decisions, these are the trained professionals that we trust to know how to stop ebola that are making these mistakes or willing to put people at risk!

Could it be (and this isn't intended to be political) that because government agencies think that they are "law" or ran by the government, that laziness and incompetence takes over? Compliancy perhaps? From FEMA and Katrina, to the VA, and now the CDC...do we really want them running healthcare?

                                            I had a state job for 10 years...'nuff said...LOL
