Does the Fanvil have a "Live Dial" setting like the Yealink so the user doesn't have to wait (4ever) for the call to send (without pressing send)?

      @JaredBusch

Driving home at the moment ( next 4 hours) but this should be it.

No, that is not what you were actually asking for.

Page 14, Dial Plan is what you are actually looking for.

By changing the timeout settings (page 5) you are going to do nothing but piss of users that dial slow.

Unless you only want the immeditate dial on 10/11 digit numbers, then you can set the dial fixed length (page 5).

I used the 10 digit dial. It's working great. Help me understand why and how I would set a dial plan rule so it would dial faster after any phone number.

We have to dial 10 digits for all call that don't require a country code.

              1. what about calling another extension?
              2. What about calling internationally?
              3. What about calling 911?
              4. What about the user that dials a 1?

                Ok. Got it.

Now I see two ways to dial faster, both have problems. The 10/11 digit doesn't deal with your examples, and even though this is a valid dial plan, it has many of the same flaws.

                Dial plan: [2-9]xxxxxxxxx

It doesn't interfere with dialing 1 first. It doesn't interfere with international, BUT it fails on extension dialing and on 911 dialing.

Will it take more than one dial plan? Am I expecting to much to get it all into one plan?

I think I see how to do it with multiple rules by looking at this example:

This is doing what I want. Do I still have a scenario that will fail?

I just plugged in a Fanvil X4U but it seems to not work?

Yealink is simple. If you add this, it simply does it.

I just tested this on my X5U

                                  b06df425-11ab-419e-afdc-8056f1fd8b46-image.png

Seems to work, but only if you've first:

                                  1. picked up the handset
                                  2. pressed the speakerphone button
                                  3. pressed the headset button

                                  that's disappointing!
My previous phones would open speakerphone automatically if I dial and it matches.

Try disabling the Predial Feature - Phone Settings -> Features -> Enable Pre-Dial.

                                      Well, @Romo is the man.

Change Phone settings > Features > Enable Pre-Dial to not checked (no idea what the default is) and the phone will enable speakerphone once you start dialing.

That makes the phone now act like every other phone on the planet.

It also respects the default 10s digit timeout once predial is disabled.
