@scottalanmiller this sounds dare-I-say-it... "Smooth"? Trawling ML at the moment, trying to decide if to move from Ubuntu server

I love Fedora for servers especially. Ubuntu 19.04 has really made the desktop slick, though.

Fedora 30 workstation is very nice - testing on an intel nuc5ppyh(I have a bunch to look after) that so far, all the recent *buntu derived distros (haven't tested Pop!_OS though) exhibit random freezing and graphical glitches. "nomodeset" etc is painful. So far F30 is glitch free :crossed_fingers: .

Would be nice to sit on just one flavoured distro for the Linux side of things here. Not sure I'm loving the Snap thing either..

We are essentially all F30 here (or will be once the updates stop.)

Ubuntu is such a PITA. I can and do use it, but only where Debian will not suffice instead.

                I also prefer Fedora Server.

Yikes. That's something i'd expect with Windows. Will try it

I prefer Fedora to be sure. But have had great luck with all my Ubuntu machines. Especially with 19.04 they've really come into their own.

What’s your opinion on using netplan to configure networking when using ubuntu?

But...at least you only normally have to configure your NIC once..
                                        Other then that, it works..

@StuartJordan I kinda like the netplan approach (ducks for cover)
