Error While Updating Ubuntu 18.04 to 18.10

 Trying to do the normal, command line upgrade process (this is for a workstation but the GUI hasn't shown the update as being available yet) and I get this error... $ sudo do-release-upgrade -d Checking for a new Ubuntu release Get:1 Upgrade tool signature [819 B] Get:2 Upgrade tool [1,263 kB] Fetched 1,264 kB in 0s (0 B/s) authenticate 'cosmic.tar.gz' against 'cosmic.tar.gz.gpg' extracting 'cosmic.tar.gz' Reading cache Segmentation fault

 Going to reboot and try again, brb.

 Ran it again, and it worked the second time.

 1261 packages to update. 964MB to download. Might take a little while.

 It's all installed now. So far, it's looking pretty good.

 Always reboot before doing system updates, IMO.
