Introducing Warp: Fixing Mobile Internet Performance and Security

Today we're excited to announce what we began to plan more than two years ago: the 1.1.1.1 App with Warp performance and security technology. We built Warp from the ground up to thrive in the harsh conditions of the modern mobile Internet. It began with our acquisition of Neumob in November 2017.

Can someone explain warp in a tl;dr fashion?

      VPN done right for mobile.

At a brief glance, it looks like iOS only. Boo.

      hardly done right, then 😞

I just found that... and the google play store link is busted. On my phone and in my desktop browser. I guess they are busy.

If you either read really fast, or go look at the boot log, one of the first things you'll see is "Applying firmware updates". I guess getting the word out is good, but it's not really news. Maybe this is the new UEFI mode?

UEFI mode looks a look different on my OptiPlex 3050 after installing Fedora compared to my older machines that is also in UEFI mode.

Google and Walmart team up to let users buy groceries with voice commands

Amazon's Alexa has a new competitor in the voice-controlled shopping space.

In its latest attempts to battle Amazon, Walmart teamed up with another tech giant to introduce a new way for its customers to buy groceries. According to a blog post by Walmart's senior vice president of digital operations Tom Ward, Walmart will now let those with Google Assistant devices buy groceries just by using their voices. Dubbed Walmart Voice Order, the feature will roll out over the next few weeks to those with Google Home devices along with other Google Assistant-enabled devices including Android smartphones and iPhones.

Xen Orchestra forum to merge into XCP-ng forums

As suggested by @DustinB3403 a while back, this makes perfect sense, they just didn't seem to have enough activity over at the XO forum to justify separating the communities. Separate logins, people somehow confused about where to post... This is a good move IMO

Saw that yesterday. Sounds to me like they are close to a new version.

More likely there was no mass market.

Ubiquiti has to make money on volume since they don't over charge.

Fedora 30 Beta includes two new options for desktop environment. DeepinDE and Pantheon Desktop join GNOME, KDE Plasma, Xfce, and others as options for users to customize their Fedora experience.

Deepin and Pantheon, that's pretty awesome.
