Looking for USB Monitoring Tools Linux or Win (Freeware).
my requirement is to monitor/enable or disable USB device connected in network PC (windows, linux,MAC).

Windows can generally control USB access via GPO and ADUC - at least in a domain environment.

HOWTO: Use Group Policy to disable USB, CD-ROM, Floppy Disk and LS-120 drivers

It would be basically the same way but managing it on a computer level.

As for something you can just send a command to - third party - I'm not sure on that.

If you're asking about Linux tools and you don't understand that question, you probably don't need Linux tools.

Have what in windows? A Linux distro? Nope. Tools for USB monitoring? Yes, it's called GPO and has been mentioned several times already. And it is free.

As long as you have already purchased AD...or you want to go to each desktop and do local GPOs, which would be a chore.

Wasn't sure you were aware that search engines exist, and that you can use them to find out things. Or should all of us be doing your research for you?

For deeper technical discussions that can't be found on google as easily as an answer to your query. The forum will likely remain, you're free to stay or go, but don't get pissy when you didn't do any basic research before posting here.

I know what you are wanting. You are wanting a system that monitors the USB ports on client computers, report back to a server of some kind, and to have the capability to turn the USB ports on and off at will.

First, we need to know what environment this is being deployed to, windows or linux. Since you didn't answer the linux question from above, we went down the windows road with you and suggested GPO, which you can pull reports from if you know where and how to get that data.

Second, don't become a smart ass to us when we try to honestly help you, namely directed at me for others comments.
