As some of you know Yealink has recently changed their product line.

The T4X line has all been reworked to now have a USB jack and support for the OPUS codec. I don't know if it is supply chain logistics or what, but the price for the T42S (all of the new phones end in S) has been $140-$170 everytime I check places where I had been buying phones.

This was leading me to now look into the Sangoma phones because feature wise, they are all but the same. Just that the Sangoma phone cost about $30 more than Yealink before the new models were released. Now the prices are all but the same.

I took the time today to shop around again, because I needed to order a T42S.

Most sites are still showing the $140+ price range. But I remembered a site I that I often buy Ubiquiti gear from, Baltic Networks, also carries phones. I checked their site, and boom. $98 + shipping. Yeah!

Has anyone else looked at the newer Yealink models from a VAR? I do not currently have any solid VAR relationship that sells these phones.

I think VoIP Supply in Niagara Falls is decent.

the one I ordered today was shipping from Batlic's warehouse in the Chicago suburbs to 63143 (st louis). Think shipping was $12 or so.

Sangoma recently bought VoIP Supply; don't yet know how that will affect relationships

More weird that it is a local supplier that we've known for a really long time. It was more the personal connection to our home town VoIP shop.

ah, did not realize that part. VoIP Supply was never a company I purchased from.

I've used them since my first GrandStream from them around 2006 🙂
