Hyper-V Replication Health/State Error
-
After replicating two VM's I noticed the replication health is critical and the state is in error. I read that some dell software packages cause false positives, but nothing by Microsoft directly.
I checked all of our other hyper-v hosts and they are all identical (Also all Dell servers). Has anyone encountered this?

right click on the VM and check the actual status. then check the event log.
don't just look at a summary and freak out.

The only time I really had a freakout was when a bunch of my VM's were greyed out when I came in one day, which you helped me with luckily

You will see that status if replication had been failing long enough to get into critical status. Even if it is now replicating again. I will show critical for a few more replication cycles.
That is why you need to open the full status and check what it says.
