Who are we having issues with using the word Linux incorrectly, End Users or IT Pros?
In the case that promoted the discussion.... IT people trying to make deep technical decisions based on totally false information created by totally bluffing on using a term they didn't understand.
What is considered "common knowledge" is actually no knowledge. Like how every component of a computer is the "monitor" or "domain". They learn one word and then call everything that word.
When I used to call domain controllers "domains", too
