Having recently switched to using Korora 25 (like two days ago), I now need to get a Windows VM setup for those tasks that require it.

I would prefer KVM since it is native, but I can use a Type 2 is I need to.

      Anyone know a solid guide?

@JaredBusch Just install virt-manager and the kvm and libvirt packages. Virt-manager is as easy as Virtualbox.

Kvm is a great choice to run Windows on Linux, on par with Xen, maybe a little better.

Why, doesn't Virtualbox work on Korora?

Also, this is why I prefer to now run Win10 and virtualize Linux instead.

It seems to keep things in better order and control, saves time too... at least for my purposes. I have a dedicated older laptop for Linux if need be.

It does, just fine. But KVM is even faster and slicker. I made the switch recently after holding out for a long time on VBox. Have to say, I feel like KVM is noticeably more responsive. And it easily runs things that fail on VBox.

Good to know, I'll give that a try too and see if I get the same good results.

Type 2 vs Type 1 was my primary motivation.

What are the available choices for Type 1 & 2?

KVM is Type 1. Its built in. VirtualBox is Type 2 and also built in. Those are the only realistic options.
