Pagination or similar

Good day there folks,
I know pagination is old style.
However, if I look at a thread with say 200 posts on, it's going to take a while for me to view it, as I have to scroll down all the way.
So if I look at a thread every day, I have to go through the 200 posts + X to view the bottom, which is only going to increase over time.
How can we overcome this, can we load last first as an alternative or take us to the last post, but then load everything before it?
