Does anyone know if you can create a shortcut on a Windows desktop that will connect directly to a host in screen connect? I did some googling and only found some posts from 6 years ago and it seemed to require files to be dropped on the server, which doesn't seem right.

I have a user that I'm switching from team viewer and right now they can connect to their work machine with a double click, and I'd like to make it that easy for them in screen connect.

That is an interesting question and would be a hand feature.

I'm not sure it's possible, but worth looking into.

@Mike-Davis this is not what ScreenConnect is designed for.

It is not a user Remote Desktop solution. Can you use it this way? Sure, but it is not the design.

Yeah - I was wondering this - LMI seemed to have a solution for this - but as JB mentioned, the self hosted version at least seems sole an IT tool, not an enduser tool.

@Mike-Davis Did you look at the extensions at all?

I found this near the top of the list. No idea if it does what you want.

@Mike-Davis - I didn't notice the first time I saw it,.. but it has 'Extension Browser' at the top. Just checked, there is a CHROME extension, but hasn't been updated since 2014.

From that, the screen shot may be from Firefox...

actually - I just found this page, so I think I'll sit here a spell and do some reading.

It's part of the Screen Connect system itself
