I was noticing that my AdBlock Plus was on, so I disabled it, but the ad count seemed egregious in how high it was. I know there are the banners on the side and bottom, but just was curious how it got that high!

Seems like I remember somebody saying it was the total count of ads blocked overall, not just per visit.

          Yup, it's cumulative.

Ahhhh, that would explain it. My bad.

It also appears to count ads that are commented out in code. So it is blocking things that are not there, as well.

I started using it because of @Jaguar so we can all blame him 😛

You should be using uBlock origin instead of ABP. They sold out to advertisers, so they're useless now. uBlock works much better, even blocks ads on Pandora.

@RojoLoco I actually made the switch a week or so ago... I love it.

I've been using Brave for a while now and it has really come along over the past year or so. I still use chrome for somethings, but Brave has started to become my main driver. Blocks ad built in. From what I can tell, Brave is seen as chrome around the interwebs.

Opera now blocks ads, and is built on chromium. But I still use the blocker for maximum blockage. Gotta check out brave.

Late to the party, but it was I and someone else at MangoCon that dug into it and found that counts all unused/unshown ads
