      KnowB4 Your local network is no longer good enough, they'll hit everything they can see at this point.

        I read this article the other day, it's pretty scary means to spread the infection, but this virus doesn't really encrypt the files.

        It uses a weird mechanism to scramble the data, which can be undone if you know what you're doing.

        Of course, if you miss even a single file the whole thing could start over again.

            It's not really "any communications channel". It's not phone, IM, XMPP, email, etc. It's just a file.
