maybe not literally half a decade, but close enough. just remake after remake after sequel after prequel, after remake.
Not a single original Idea has surfaced for Movies/Entertainment. -

Did the hop on hop off bus (well stayed on the bus just to see what's where)Only here for 2 more days.
Off to Rockefeller to see the Xmas tree, then ground zero. Have a rest and go central park.

I didn't say it was recent... I was saying that very little original comes out... and that was the last that I can currently recall being what I considered truly original.

Trolls? wasn't that based on the Troll dolls from the 80's? which might have been a brainchild of the smurfs back then....
