Bring It On is actually good. If you like campy teen movies. It's by far one of the best. The sequels are ridiculous, of course. But the original had a stellar cast and was a pretty important industry influencer (hence inclusion in NATM which itself was the foundation of a genre.)

Both BIO and NATM ended up being career makers for a lot of people. Very few started in either, but several broke out from them.

Bring It On is actually good. If you like campy teen movies. It's by far one of the best. The sequels are ridiculous, of course. But the original had a stellar cast and was a pretty important industry influencer (hence inclusion in NATM which itself was the foundation of a genre.)
And those parodies are hilarious, but when the subject of a parody is so utterly lacking depth, the viewer can absorb the original film's message by only watching the parody. It's much easier on the viewer's constitution.

Yeah it is, and SO well written (and acted.) Nothing that followed it came close. They defined the genre and set the standard. They almost seamlessly blend like ten movies of the era and manage to showcase how ridiculous the late 90s teen movie craze was while making a standalone film that was excellent. The only bad parts were around the complete unfunny, fart joke of a character played by Randy Quaid. Had they cut him, it would have been so much better.
