p.s. Good job it only takes 20mins to spin a clean CentOS7 VM up 😄

Twenty minutes! We do it in under ten seconds!! You need to template that.

We do that on our Scale cluster. Build a base image, apply updates, add users, copy over the SSH keys, etc. Then we can make a new one in seconds, ready to be logged into. Don't even need to share the password because authentication is already in place. takes all the guesswork out of which drivers to use, what filesystem should be standard, etc.

Did some cleaning, made the coffee, got Dominica set up in bed with a video game, opened the windows and doors... bright and beautiful day here.

@dominica is no better today. Still in bed and still unable to walk. No improvement.

Just built a new Windows lab environment for some very specific testing. Windows 2008 R2 systems, Windows 2012 R2 systems and a Windows 2008 R2 Active Directory setup to manage it. Getting all of the updates applied now before kicking off really using it.

tracing cables and fixing mapped drive errors, all the while dodging bullets from nerf guns...adds a certain Je ne sais quoi to it...

Wish I had a Scale cluster to do that with 🙂

Just gone live with Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP after 12 months of preparation. Lots of tickets to plough through!

Damn, 12 months of prep. That's what is needed but... it sure makes for a huge mental impact, doesn't it!

Congrats! Hope that everything goes smoothly.
