You can sign up and give it a shot here. I think it is in public beta now.

Be warn apple betas and microsofts are way different. Apples should never even be used as the main os on your personal machine they dont pretest them before releasing to the testers like microsoft always has. Granted Visa testing wasnt great.

Oh well aware. Apple let us do all the work for testing

Improved performance on my Mid 2011 iMAC, much faster. Adding an SSD this weekend, that would be a bonus now! 🙂

Keep in mind if it's not an apple SSD you have to do quite a bit of hacking to get it to boot and even then TIRM support will be disabled unless you disable all kext signing (a security risk).

I'm pretty sure that Apple will sell you whatever you want to buy.

                                    At extortionist pricing...

There is only one price. I don't think that Apple does any extra markup on the drives after the fact. They are the same price up front or later. So no extortion pricing, it's all level pricing. That's one of the Apple advantages. Sure, you have a higher price starting point, but you get all price transparency and the majority of the price pain up front. There are no surprises and later price jacks once people are locked in, even though they are locked in.
