It may take a very long time... but have you looked at any of the Steam Machines that have been announced?

Can't use a Linux machine. Need a Windows machine.

Oh, right GoG forgot about that requirement.

Has anyone used any of their machines? How is the build quality? Looks gorgeous from the pictures.

I've seen them in person and they are tinier than they look in online pictures. Not sure about anything else in terms of build quality or power, but they look to be the smallest gaming machines out there, and they claim to be modular so you can swap in a new graphics card when you need to upgrade.

Tiny does matter a lot in this case.

It looks like they are using the A10 APU (just cleverly marketed differently). I think it is the 7600G graphics core.

Oh that's a fail. That makes them seem pretty dishonest.

That takes away the modular factor too.

Hence why it says Radeon 7000-Series GPU and 8GB DDR3 Gaming RAM Notice it says 8GB Gaming ram, not 8GB video ram. 8GB is how much ram the computer has in it. It's shared memory, granted theses days the amount is adjustable but it's still not the same as a real video card.

Yep... clever marketing. Although for GoG stuff and some Steam stuff it would probably be Ok.

GOG offers brand new stuff just like Steam.

That's the one, I think, that was linked on NewEgg higher in the thread. Right now I think that that is the leading contender.

Green does make a difference. It matches my car.

I'm still skeptical of the actual in game performance...

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 GPU with 6GB of RAM? Shouldn't be too terribly shabby.

The review from Anandtech looks very thorough. The numbers for performance looked promising.
