So as a rule, if you try to backup your C@C server with your local Unitrends appliance/UEB, you're going to get a "partial connection - check IP filters/firewall" message. Hopefully this helps someone if they are trying to do the same.

First, this is an updated and slightly tweaked version of this KB from Unitrends: http://support.unitrends.com/ikm/questions.php?questionid=163

Go to Settings > Systems, Updates and Licensing > General Configuration [Advanced] and go to Configuration Options and find the data value. Change it from the default of 1744 to 1745.
      upload-751e8826-b6e8-4804-8ff6-6d5cff487f45

(This assumes you've already installed the latest agent on your C@C VM)
Go to the \PCBP folder and open the master.ini file using Notepad running as admin.

In one of the top sections, either change or make sure that "data=1745". Then, add "ForceIP=your.public.IP.here". I opened 1743-1749, because sometimes it'll use 1749 (I think) for some other stuff. Port forward in your router 1745 or 1743-1749 to your Unitrends box. And huzzah! Now it works!

      Thanks,
      A.J.

Some how I Dont think anyone that can afford the paid version of UEB or an appliance is going to be using C@C for anything they care to backup.

You can get a free UEB over there, which is what I use, and lots of people here are over there, and use C@C.
