I had no idea you could get postage by any means via PP.

        Yep you can.

This link allows you to buy postage without having it attached to a payment you received. I can find no way to get there from withing PP itself, this direct link is the only way.
But, if you do receive a normal 'fees included' payment through PP that includes an address from the payee, Pp gives you a button that lets you buy postage from them and print a label you can then tape to the box.

It's under seller tools but it's hard to find. It takes like three clicks to get there. Granted I'm a Paypal Select (Beta tester basically) member so my layout might be different.

This is why most people just do a charge back. Not saying you should, just saying.

I did tell my CC that I wanted to try to work this out with Stamps.com first, but at the same time to refuse all future charge attempts.

OK I called stamps.com and they had an automated way to cancel, nice - but they still tried to charge me for 1 more day of use after the last payment, which they realized failed immediately. They have already sent me an email asking me to pay for that one day through another means.. LOL like that will ever happen!

I'm still going to try to get my two months worth of fees back, but it seems unlikely at this point without a charge back (not sure I'm willing to go that far) I'm guessing I missed the damned small print so I might just take that on the chin.

Alright - finally have someone on the phone.

They are claiming that they charge in arrears for the service.. so the first month isn't really free - He's now playing word games with me calling it a Risk Free Trial - I told him that is not what the website says so at bare minimum they should be refunding me the last charge (2 days ago) minus any single day fees they wanna hold on to.

Of course I now find myself sitting on hold with them.. and I'm sure they are going to make me wait for 30+ mins.

Wow hold only last 5 or so min.

They are in fact charging in arrears.

Since the system tried to charge me $1.55 for the extra day of this month since the last billing, and my card denied their transactions - the person is telling me that they can't return the last month's charge because of the hang up from the 'final charge.'

At least I know things are setup correctly on my CC side and they won't be charging me anymore.
